Local Rec Supervisor Receives Major Recognition

He was honored by the Connecticut Recreation and Parks Association.

Vernon Recreation Supervisor Bruce Watt has received a major award from an industry organization. 

The Connecticut Recreation and Parks Association recently named Watt a recipient of the R. Peter Ledger Young Professional Award. 

He was nominated by Parks and Recreation Director Bruce Dinnie. 

Nominees must be a member of the CRPA who has served 10 years or fewer and "is deserving of recognition for achievements and accomplishments in the parks and recreation profession."

Watt received a $1,000 award, which can be applied to continuing education purposes like training, quarterlies and conferences.
