SAFE CHILD ID EVENT

SAFE CHILD AMBER ALERT ID EVENT: Saturday, January 21, 2012. St. Bridget School, 74 Main St. Manchester from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

HOSTED BY: St. Bridget School Cadette Girl Scout Troop 10631 & St. Bridget School.

ALL CHILDREN UP TO THE AGE OF 18 can register. Parents/Guardians of participating children receive a wallet sized, plastic card with a picture of the child, a unique AMBER ID number and only minimal, yet essential information needed to identify the child.

This information is stored in a secure data base at the CT DPS. This card can be presented to law enforcement in the event a child is abducted.  The information can be transmitted to law enforcement and to the public via Television, Radio and Traffic Signs. This assists law enforcement by providing additional eyes of the public to look for the vehicle and occupants listed in the alert.

NOTE: One card per child - free.  Additional cards per child available for a $2 fee to cover cost of materials.
