Cold Spring, Welles Road Work on a Six-Week Timetable

Milling and paving are on the work order.

The Town's Public Works Department has begun road work this week on both
Cold Spring Drive and Welles Road.

Prep work was being performed early this week and the work will intensity as the week goes on, officials said.

The work will include milling and paving and should take about six weeks to complete, weather permitting, officials said.

so glad Cold Spring is getting done, I am hoping Trout Stream Drive is in the future. It is in pretty rough shape

The Vernon section of Kingsbury Ave, is the among the worst roads in town. I've seen unimproved dirt roads that are in better shape. After a Thunderstorm there is a lot of standing water and it forces drivers to the middle/crown of the road.

You are absolutely correct Mark. During the winter it has so many craters it resembles a carpet bombed run way. Absolutely inexcusable for a through right of way.

This article is from July and as far as I can tell Cold Spring is still not done being paved. There are still raised man hole covers. How long does it take?
