Christmas Tree Disposal Program Begins Next Week

Trees will also be accepted at the Transfer Station.

Christmas trees will be collected the first two full weeks in January, weather-permitting, officials from the Department of Public Works said.

Residents are asked to remove all decorations, tinsel and plastic bags.

In addition, the Transfer Station on Hockanum Boulevard will be accepting Christmas trees for disposal the entire month of January. A permit and punchcard will not be required for Christmas tree drop-offs.
