Call for Rockville Fest Vendors Issued

The event is slated for Sept. 28.

Organizers of the annual Rockville Fest have issued a call for vendors.

It is the last scheduled major festival of the season after next week's National Night Out on Tuesday.

This year's Rockville Fest is scheduled for Downtown Rockville on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (the rain date is Sunday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

Organizers like to point out that the event has morphed into  a 3-in-1  local fair.  Vintage and classic cars from the Tri-Town Cruzers Car Club  will be on display up and down West Main Street and the Cruzers will have raffles throughout the day.

The Vernon School Readiness Council will again offer a “Baby Fair” in Talcott Park behind Town Hall. Displays and booths here will feature a variety of information, advice and freebies that will center around babies and toddlers.

This fair was a new addition to the Rockville Fest last year.

There will also be a variety of booths featuring food vendors and craft/home businesses set up around the green, a bounce house for children and other entertainment throughout the day. Local merchants will also be open for business.

For booth information contact Thomas DiDio, 860-380-7104  or thomas.didio@snet.net.

Vendors and others interested in being part of the baby fair should contact  mhill@kidssafect.org or paulinefortier651@comcast.net.
