The Nutcracker

Connecticut Concert Ballet Yesterday · EditedTHIS MORNING'S FEATURED DANCER OF THE DAY IS...
Sara Clarke!

Sara Clarke (Lead Shepherdess, Lead Snowflake, Rosebud) is an honor roll senior at Rockville High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society. Sara has won awards for music and academics including three for languages; the C.O.L.T. award for both French and German, and the Polyglot Award for success in language. At her church, Sara is active with their youth group and is an altar server.
This past summer Sara attended the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Summer Intensive. Sara also trains and performs with the modern dance company dancEnlight, directed by Lorelei Chang, and is the only high school student who is a member of that professional company. Sara is in the process of applying and auditioning for highly competitive college dance programs. Sara is a full member of CCB’s pre-professional Ensemble and this is her 13th Nutcracker.
According to Sara, “The biggest challenge of being a ballet dancer is definitely time management and making sure you get enough sleep to stay healthy. I love being able to come into class and just forget about everything, so I can just focus on improving myself and enjoying the beautiful moment.”

Bravo to Sara and to all our beautiful dancers performing in The Nutcracker starting this weekend! http://www.ctconcertballet.org/Store/ — with Sara Clarke and 2 others at Connecticut Concert Ballet.
