Live pottery demonstration in Rockville on September 6

Jacob's Well Coffeehouse, downtown Rockville's monthly Christian nightclub, will feature an encore presentation of "A Journey to the Potter's House," a 70-minute live pottery presentation by Michael Ferris, on Friday, September 6. Doors open at 7:00 pm.  The coffeehouse will be held at Bev's Corner Drop-in Center, 3 Elm Street in Vernon. Admission and refreshments are free. Dress is casual. The facility is handicapped-accessible.

Ferris is a from Colchester and teaches at a Christian college in Nyack, New York. He will demonstrate through pottery and various Scriptures how God is the Potter and we are the clay. The audience will see what Jeremiah saw as he watched the potter take the clay through various stages, fashioning it into a useful vessel. Like Jeremiah, the audience will grow in its understanding of how God can use all of the circumstances of our lives, even the most painful ones, to fashion our lives into vessels of beauty, worth and purpose fit for the Master’s use. The message of the potter is a message of hope, love and redemption. For details and directions, please call 860.871.6500 or visit www.JacobsWellCoffeehouse.com
