Man Runs a Stop Light, Now Facing Charges

Police said the man ran the light near Kelly Road.

 

A Vernon man is facing charges that he was driving under the influence after blowing through a red light on Route 83 and Kelly Road on Sunday, police said.

Julian Cesar Velasco Godinez, 31, of 164 Vernon Ave., Apt. 23, is also charged with two moving violations, police said.

He is due in court on Jan. 30, police said. Bond was set at $500, police said.

He was arrested shortly after 2 a.m., police said.



James Edward Kenney, 47, of 14 Getchell St., Bath, Maine, was extradited to Vernon from Maine on Friday to face a charge that he violated a protective order, police said.

He was to appear in court on Monday on a $15,000 bond, police said.
