Man Busted For Trying To Buy Pot Through Craig's List

Arrest made in Glastonbury by task force.

A 31-year-old Vernon man is in hot water after placing an ad on Craig's List for marijuana.

Michael Krebs of 56 Mount Vernon Ave., Vernon, was arrested on Thursday in the parking lot of the McDonald's on Main Street in Glastonbury by members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force, according to a task force news release.

Police said Krebs placed an ad on Craig’s List stating that he was looking to
purchase marijuana. A location was specified, and surveillance units waited for Krebs to arrive.

Task force members then took Krebs into custody without incident, police said.

Krebs was charged with criminal attempt to possess less than 4 ounces of marijuana.

Court information was unavailable.

The East Central Narcotics Task Force is represented by police in Manchester, South Windsor, Vernon and Glastonbury.
